Founded in 1918, the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation (CSF) was first an agency that paid stipends to high school students to remain in school who might otherwise have left to help with the war effort. In 1946, the CSF incorporated as a 501-C3 non-profit agency. Its efforts were expanded to assist college-bound students with need-based scholarships. The CSF has evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of the community but the goal has remained the same:  to remove some of the economic barriers that would deny a student an education.

Since 1989, over $13,000,000 in scholarships have been awarded to nearly 14,000 area students.
